LENS is sent, not sold.

Every copy that exists arrives because one person chose to send it to another. The person who sends it is a member.

Membership

A member sends LENS to the people they serve through their work.

Four times a year, an issue arrives from them. Their photograph, their name, and a letter in their own words sit on the gates inside the covers. Nothing else in the issue is about them, and nothing in it is about what they do.

Members are people whose work runs on long relationships: the advisor you have had for eleven years, the agent who found the house, the attorney who handled the estate, the consultant who was in the building for a season. LENS is how they stay in the room after they have left it.

One sender per household

Once an address is claimed, it is claimed.

No two members can send LENS to the same home. The first to claim an address holds it, for as long as they keep sending.

A simple rule, and the reason the whole thing works. A publication that arrived from two different people would be a gift from neither of them.

The Standard

What a member promises.

Every member sends LENS under the same eight commitments, and none of them are negotiable.

No advertising. No sponsored content. No selling of any kind inside. Nothing is ever asked of the reader. Their profession is never mentioned inside. No issue is ever reprinted. No filler; if a piece is not ready, the issue runs shorter. And no list is ever rented, sold, or used for anything but the issue.

Are you the one who sends LENS?

If you could write down the top twenty-five names your business is built on without opening a spreadsheet, this was made for you.

Membership is for a small number of professionals at a time. What it is, what it costs, and what it does are on the pages that follow.
